
Ingredients:
1 cup cracked wheat
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup green peas
4-5 cloves
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
About 3 cups of water
1 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
green coriander for garnishing
Method
- Dip cracked wheat in water for about half an hour (drain off extra water after half an hour).
- Heat the pan and put oil, cloves and cumin seeds. Heat till they crackle.
- Put cabbage and peas and cook for about five minutes.
- Then add 3 cups of water, turmeric powder, rolled oats and cracked wheat.
- Cook on slow flame for about 15 minutes with lid on the pan or till the water is dried.
- Garnish with green coriander. Enjoy!
